Jennifer Johns

MSW, RSW – Counsellor/Registered Social Worker

Jennifer Johns is a Counsellor and Registered Social Worker (RSW) who has a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from the University of Windsor (1993) and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Dalhousie University (2005). She has been registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) since 2002. She is also a Member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Jennifer has experience working in child welfare, community development, the government and educational sectors. She has supervised Bachelor and Master level social work students through the University of Windsor. She utilizes various approaches to counselling including brief solution focused, narrative, strengths-based, anti-oppressive and cognitive behavioural therapies. She has extensive background in providing services to address trauma, disabilities, and mental health. Jennifer provides individual counselling services to adolescents and adults for anxiety, depression, trauma, critical incident debriefing, stress management, parent guidance/support, ADHD support, and general counselling to help with life’s challenges. Therapy techniques utilized are based upon client needs.
